BOOKING RULES

If you have any questions please talk with a Manager at 202.567.7206 or email booking@union206.com.

  1. Maximum ten people per studio. Studio B is smaller and fits five comfortably.

  2. All reservations are subject to our Terms of Use and Cancellation Policy. We do not reschedule shoots.

  3. We are a Time-In and Time-Out studio. You will be allowed into your room at your start time and must have a clean & reset studio by your end time. Running over your scheduled time may result in a fee and termination of membership.

  4. Music videos must book in Studio C unless an exception is authorized by a manager. We don’t rent continuous lighting.

  5. Live music shoots must book the full venue. No exceptions.

  6. Anything potentially messy must be approved. Glitter is prohibited. Messy examples are body painting, water, mud, oil, snow, etc. Additional cleaning fees may apply.

HOUSE RULES

The client who made the reservation is responsible for all people and equipment on their set including safety and damages.

  1. First-time clients are required to receive a short orientation to the studio and the equipment.

  2. Food and beverages must be consumed within the studios. Please let staff know if you need a larger trash can.

  3. Do not stand, run, sit, etc. on the curve of the cyc wall. It is hollow and won’t support weight.

  4. Clients are responsible for all damages caused during the rental. These charges are at the discretion of Union 206.

  5. Clean up fees may be applied if the studio is left in an overly messy state including props and equipment not put away, water, body paint, glitter, elements, etc. This is at the studio’s discretion.

  6. Props including furniture may be used. Please ask staff for assistance moving furniture onto and off of the cyc wall, if necessary. You are expected to leave the studio as you found it.

  7. Do not enter studio spaces without permission from the staff. Union 206 staff may enter any part of the studio at any time.

  8. Studio furniture and props are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  9. Audio Productions: We are not a soundstage. We can control the ambient noise inside the building by reserving all three studios. However, you may encounter room tone, the sound of rain on the roof, and sounds from outside. We have successfully hosted hundreds of professional audio productions that do not require the noise attenuation of a soundstage. A site survey is recommended if you’re unsure of your requirements.

  10. Your reservation must include all the time you need to set up, shoot, clean up, and vacate the studio. You cannot enter the studio early, and you’re expected to vacate your studio no later than the time your reservation ends. This allows everyone’s shoot to begin on time.

  11. SETUP: You are responsible for setting up your shoot including but not limited to lighting, paper, and equipment.

  12. SAFETY: You are responsible for ensuring the safety of your clients and participants.

  13. FOG MACHINE: A fog machine is allowed in Studio C only. Fog must be cleared thirty minutes prior to exiting the studio.

  14. ANIMALS: Must have written consent from Union 206. All animals must have a handler at all times. The handler must have this as their sole position for the shoot.

  15. MINORS: Persons under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian with them at all times.

  16. MESSY SHOOTS: Loose glitter is prohibited. Any shoot that may become “messy” including but not limited to wax, glitter, oil, water, mud, food, snow, etc must be approved with Union 206. Additional cleanup fees may apply.
