We have a ten-person limit per studio. If you’d like to have more than 10, give us a call PRIOR to making your reservation.
Everyone on set must have be part of your production. Additional family, friends, and entourage can inhibit a successful shoot.
GLITTER IS NOT ALLOWED. Seriously. Otherwise, the studio is happy to host many creative projects. Please give us a call or email PRIOR to making your reservation. We typically approve most messy shoots. Excessive cleaning or damage will result in a fee of $150+.
We highly suggest renting the full venue. If you plan to record audio and don’t rent all three studios, you’ll be at the mercy of the other shoots in the building. Everyone is allowed to play music and talk during their shoot. Every booking is equally important and we will not ask anyone to be quiet.
Every shoot is different and what is listed below may not work for your project. What has worked best for other audio shoots:
- Rent the full venue.
- Use lapel microphones instead of boom or on-camera microphones.
- Use a location scout who is knowldgable about audio productions.
Even following the aforementioned suggestions does not guarentee an uninturrupted audio experience. Full terms and conditions apply if a cancellation is necessary.
We are not a soundstage. We can control the ambient noise inside the building by reserving all three studios. However, you may encounter room tone, the sound of rain on the roof, and sounds from outside. We have successfully hosted hundreds of professional audio productions that do not require the noise attenuation of a soundstage. A site survey is recommended if you’re unsure of your requirements.
Studio C must be reseved for music videos and dancing. It has plenty of room and our loading dock loads directly into the studio. This studio was designed to accomodate dancing and other bookings with lots of moving pieces.
Please call or email for bookings with less than 24 hours notice. We’re happy to accept same day and next day bookings.
We provide the venue, lights, modifiers, and props. The rest is up to you! We do NOT set up the lights for your shoot. If you’re new to studio lighting, we suggest researching lighting setups prior to your booking. Good luck!
If it’s your first time shooting in a studio we’ll show you how to use the light and the wireless flash trigger, and show you how to attach and detach the modifiers. There are always staff on duty to help troubleshoot any equipment problems.
If you’re new to studio photography and you’d like to learn more about lighting, our studio director Tiffany Butler teaches a Studio Basics workshop. Reach out to her at 202-567-7206 or send us an email through the Get In Touch button at the top of the screen.
